This pair of earrings was produced by Emmons Jewelry Co., likely in the early to mid-1960s, during their period of refined, tailored costume designs that imitated fine jewelry styles of the era.
Each earring features a domed faux mabe pearl cabochon set into a scalloped gold-tone bezel. The back clips are stamped “Emmons” with the patent pending mark, consistent with their standard hardware from the 1958–1964 period.
The mabe-style imitation pearls were made from a molded base with a pearlescent coating, designed to replicate the look of half-pearls used in fine jewelry. This style was considered timeless and elegant — a staple in both Emmons and Sarah Coventry lines.
